Airport Transportation

There are a large number of transportation options to and from Schipol airport, Amsterdam's main airport.

Train

The most popular method of airport transportation to get to Amsterdam city center is via train. Not only is it one of the fastest ways, it is also one of the more memorable ways to arrive at Amsterdam.

Signs from the arrival lounge direct you to the train platform. Just prior to the platforms are a counter service for tickets, or machines with which you can pay using credit or debit card.

Signs indicate the correct platform (just follow everyone else!) and within minutes you are whisked away towards Amsterdam on a direct route.

The train usually stops at a couple or three stops before the driver announces arrival at Centraal Station, a grand sight of architecture.

Trains also run throughout the night to regional cities throughout The Netherlands, and to cities in Germany.

Bus

The Connexxion Schiphol Hotel Shuttle runs every ten minutes from bus platform A7. These air conditioned buses, which run from 6am till 9pm are very popular forms of airport transportation to and from the airport.
